Online notarizations are accepted across the country due to a long-standing body of laws in each state that specifically provides for recognition and acceptance of out-of-state notarizations.  Online notarization have been approved by over 35 states so far.

In some cases, your recipient may require original signatures from all signers. In order to fulfill this requirement, you will need to meet with a notary over video chat to show ID and sign your documents.

Accepted forms of identification for having notarial services performed include the following.

• State-issued driver’s license
• State-issued identification card
• Resident Alien identification card (Green Card)
• U.S. passport

Unaccepted forms of identification may include the following.

• Birth certificates
• Social security cards
• School identification cards
• Credit cards
• Debit cards

We only notarize electronically once the documents are uploaded and the identity has been verified using knowledge-based authentication or Biometrics.

You are connected with a commissioned notary public via live audio-video call. I will confirm your identity visually using the scanned photo ID, and then witnesses as you sign your document. Just like a traditional notarization, I will  then signs and places my notarial seal on your document.

Many transactions require more than just a notary and signer. If you’re signing a document that requires a witness, you’ll want to make sure you let us know before your appointment.  You can provide your own witness or we can provide a witness for an additional fee. 

Yes! Our platform is designed so multiple people can come online and notarize the same document.

We notarize just about every document which needs to be notarized in the paper world. There are a few exceptions though, so see below:

In an online notarization, both you and the notary electronically sign the notarized document. Per federal and state laws such as the ESIGN Act and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), when both sides agree to perform their transaction electronically, electronic signatures are just as valid as handwritten signatures for virtually all documents.

Both public and private institutions accept documents notarized electronically. As more business have become aware of electronic notary services, they prefer an online notary as opposed to a traditional one.

We use electronic signing (eSigning) technology that requires no additional hardware or application on your end, just your keyboard. When you are in a notary session you will sign by clicking on your name in the prefill document. We have embed a number of security features into the document to protect the validity of your signature.
